Beautiful Girls, All Over The World

Although the outfits and scenery are gorgeous, what really make these photos beautiful are the beautiful girls in them. (even the picture of the hands :D haha) All of these photos have caught my eyes over the past months, and I have been wanting to share them with you. They say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I don't think anyone could argue with these!

What is beauty to you? If you can't explain it, post a picture!

I've Come Down with the Shoe Flu

I never thought I would be a shoe whore, but after browsing eBay for Miu Miu and Chanel heels just for kicks and giggles, I felt the need to paint my toes and pop on my 4" suede peep toes. I love how when shoes look great, they don't only make your feet look better, but they make everything look better. When I wear tall heels, my posture is more elegant, my walk is fiercer and my legs look longer. That, my friends, is the beauty of shoes.

Here are the Miu Miu's and Chanel's that I fell in love with:

Symptoms of a Tiny Closet...

Nausea, headaches and temper tantrums

Maybe it is because my closet is too small or my clothing collection is too big, but the two ends just aren't meeting. My shorts are on my bench, bras are on the doorknob and scarves are hanging from my ceiling. Not to mention a good portion of my accessories are being worn by my sewing mannequin (I don't think she is ever going to give back my Hermes scarf...) I always think maybe some day soon I will have a huge walk in closet with chandeliers and automatic droors...but then I realize, college dorm closets are even smaller. Will the spell of tiny closets never end? When I have an apartment in the city, I am going to have a bed, a stove, and the rest will be closet.

Why aren't you my closet? If you come be my closet, I promise to put very nice clothes in you!

Goodwill Hunting

My Rhode Island buddy, Alice, recently came to town so I decided to take her out for a day of thrifting. When we walked up the stoop of my favorite vintage warehouse, Udelco, we noticed a sign that read 'Closed Till August 14th'. Of course Alice and I were thoroughly bummed but my fellow New Jersey Tomato, Sammy, instantly thought of a Plan B. Goodwill! Now, before this trip, I had never been to a Goodwill before and was expecting it to be full of chewed up and tossed around dingy underwear and old Mickey Mouse Overalls. Although I did spot a few pairs of undies and mickey ears, the store was top notch! The orderly aisles were filled with new Abercrombie Jeans (with tags!), Ann Taylor dresses, and even an Anna Sui top! I was completely astounded when I entered the dressing room with two armfuls of clothes! Here is what I bought:

To quench my purse craving!

Besso Jelly Bag, $7, originally $200

BCBG bag, $14, originally about $300

Dolce Vita heels, $12, originally about $160

American Eagle Crop Top and Shorts, both $6
You will surely see these in outfit posts to come!

Although I spent my day getting two cavities filled (blergg), I wanted to look nice! Wearing: Skirt from Loehmann's and top from Old Navy (I've had this top since elementary school!)

Not only are there clothes at Goodwill, but also knick knacks, toys, and household supplies. I found a Zebra bead spread for my sister's dorm room (silly girl wants to make her dorm an african safari. she already has the monkey garbage can) but sadly it was a king size :( C'est la vie, I guess she will have to settle for giraffe!

What have you guys gotten from Goodwill? Any good finds?

Gucci+Prada/Chanel-Coach= ??

This week, I am having an unhealthy relationship with purses, they are all I can think about! This is not helpful when sitting in my SAT class trying to learn what an abnormal polygon is (huhh?) The only solution is to think about bags mathematically. One Prada times a negative Chanel plus the sum of three Gucci's equals...72?
Sure, let's go with that.

Well anywhooo...

My love of purses is not because of the designer name or the Italian leather (although we are quite friendly), but because of the vibe they bring. I love that by carrying an old briefcase, you feel like you are in a 1920's black and white movie or when carrying a multicolored canvas tote you start saying "peacee brother". Each one of these bags gives off a different vibe, and that's what I love about them.

Woooah I said love a lot in that past paragraph...I must really like purses..
